17KM of Purpose: The Walk for Hope 2025
On 3rd October 2025, Optimal Family Hospital led a powerful movement — the Walk for Hope, a 17-kilometer journey dedicated to breast cancer awareness, solidarity, and support for patients in our community.
Starting at PCEA Chogoria Hospital and culminating at Chuka Medical Centre, the walk threaded through Ndagani, Mitheru, and Marima, transforming each step into a symbol of resilience, unity, and purpose. This wasn’t just a walk — it was a declaration: Every Step Counts.
We were honored to walk side by side with an inspiring coalition of leaders and partners, including:

  • Dr. Mwaura, CEO of Optimal Family Hospital
  • Mr. Mutembei, Board Chair
  • Hon. Mawera, Ward MCA
  • Jane Isiaho, Director Retail at KCB Group
  • Representatives from Chloride Exide Kenya, MBF Village, HopeCore International, Solution Sacco, Kirk Insurance Agency, Ke Thamani, DT Sacco Society LTD, and PCEA Kikuyu Hospital
Their presence — along with our dedicated staff, volunteers, and community members — infused the walk with heart, sweat, and unstoppable spirit.
🎗️ This is more than a walk. It’s a movement.
    We walk for hope.
    We walk for awareness.
We walk to uplift those battling breast cancer.
To our sponsors, partners, and supporters: thank you for making this possible. Your commitment fuels our mission and amplifies our impact. Together, we rise. Together, we make a difference.
