A Landmark Day of Innovation, Research, and Growth at PCEA Chogoria Hospital

Today marked a significant milestone in our journey towards excellence in healthcare, education, and innovation.

We successfully hosted our 2nd Annual Research Day, bringing together healthcare professionals, researchers, and students who showcased outstanding research through poster and oral presentations. We extend our sincere appreciation to all presenters for their dedication to advancing evidence-based healthcare. Special thanks to our distinguished judges—Dr. Miriam Miima, Dr. Justa Mungiria, Dr. Jonathan Nthusi, and Dr. Fidelis Ngugi—for their invaluable expertise and commitment throughout the evaluation process.

We are deeply grateful to our Board of Management, Hospital Administration Team, and our CEO, Dr. Elijah Maura, for your visionary leadership and support in making this event a success.

The day was further highlighted by the commissioning of our state-of-the-art, 128-slice AI-powered CT scan at the Imaging Centre—a transformative investment that strengthens our commitment to delivering world-class diagnostic services. We also proudly commissioned the Clive Irvine College of Health Sciences Bus, a major step forward in supporting student learning, clinical rotations, and academic excellence.

We sincerely thank our Moderator, Rev. Dr. Patrick Thegu Mutahi, for gracing this special occasion, alongside Hon. Franklin Mawaura; our board chairman, Gilbert Mutembei; our partners, sister institutions PCEA Tumutumu Hospital and PCEA Kikuyu Hospital, schools; the media fraternity; staff; students; and the wider community whose presence made this celebration truly memorable.

Together, we continue to advance healthcare, nurture innovation, and transform lives.
