We are proud to announce the launch of our Eye Screening and Free Cataract Surgery Program, a transformative initiative in partnership with AGC Tenwek Hospital.

Cataracts—the clouding of the eye’s natural lens—remain one of the leading causes of preventable blindness worldwide. In Kenya and across sub-Saharan Africa, the condition disproportionately affects older adults, farmers, parents, and grandparents who depend on sharp vision for daily survival. Location: Our Eye Clinic at PCEA Chogoria Hospital
Timeline: Ongoing now through 13th March 2026
What to expect: Comprehensive vision checks by qualified ophthalmologists. No appointment necessary—just walk in during clinic hours.

🩺 Free Cataract Surgeries

Location: PCEA Chogoria Hospital Theatre
Dates: 16th to 20th March 2026
Eligible patients: Those identified during screening with operable cataracts will be scheduled promptly.

Bonus Gift Every participant at the Eye Unit will receive free reading glasses where appropriate—another practical way we’re enhancing everyday vision for our community.

This five-day surgical window is carefully planned to maximize impact while minimizing disruption to patients’ lives. Post-operative care and follow-up will also be provided to ensure lasting results.
